Youth events kick off rodeo season
The preliminary event for the 55th annual Deep South Rodeo is Thursday, July 26, with the Kid's Rodeo. There will be events for young rodeo riders from toddler age to 18-years-old.
The following week, the Deep South Rodeo marches into town for a three-day stay beginning with the traditional parade on Thursday, Aug. 2. Rodeo competition begins that evening and continues through Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3-4.
