College football playoff system finally coming to fruition

So starting at the end of the 2014 college football season – with the first games to be played on January 1, 2015 – there will be a four-team playoff with the playoffs operating within the current bowl structure and the championship to be played at a national site decided years in advance. It will be like the Super Bowl or Final Four in terms of national bidding for the title game.

Why didn't someone think of this earlier? Oh wait, they did. Over and over again, you say?

And it seems that it took a rematch game between LSU and Alabama for someone to finally quit pandering to college presidents and bowl officials to come up with the latest (hahaha), but certainly not final playoff conjecture.
