Harris receives A+PEL honor
Glenda Harris of Franklin Parish, has been named one of 19 state Volunteers of the Year by the Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana (A+PEL). She was honored at a reception at the Governor's Mansion in Baton Rouge on June 12.
Harris's many volunteer duties include planning, organizing, and executing projects and events of all sorts. She has also assisted teachers with flash card drills, reading to students, decorating bulletin boards and the gym for graduation and Christmas.
