School board to consider joining lawsuit
School districts across the state are joining a class action lawsuit that challenges the constitutionality of Gov. Bobby Jindal's voucher program.
At a special called meeting Tuesday afternoon, Superintendent Lanny Johnson and members of the school board discussed Franklin Parish's participation in the suit.
Board member Dorothy Brown said the suit would be filed in district court by the Louisiana School Board Association on behalf of the school boards that participate.
