Crop producers benefit from recent rains
Area producers woke to the sweet music of June rain last Tuesday, as northeast Louisiana received its first widespread rain in roughly 50 days.
Farmers with over-baked crops had even more of a reason to smile when mother nature gave several encore pop-up showers throughout the week — making the last seven days a blessing for much of the local agricultural community.
