Franklin Parish coach Barry Sebren knew this year's version of the Patriot's offense would have to be tweaked when he gathered his team for workouts in May.
The Patriot coaching staff knew they were going to have to be creative to find a way to duplicate the 400-yard plus per game effort the option-based offense produced in 2011 when forwarded by all-state fullback and Grambling signee Noble Johnson.
Ten practices and a scrimmage later, the Patriots enter the summer riding a wave of optimism of what the Franklin Parish offense could look like when it takes the field this Fall. Sebren said that while the offense will be fast and efficient, the most important adjective describing the unit will hopefully be "balanced."
" (Offensive coordinator) Whitney McCartney spent a lot of time this offseason looking at ways that we can be more balanced offensively," Sebren said. "We know for us to good this season, we have to executing well in every facet of the offense. We aren't going to be a team that is going to rely on one person."
