The face of college football is changing

Isn't it funny how it took years and years to come up with a playoff system for college football, but now everything seems to be in fast-forward mode to decide the best system and what needs to be done next?

First of all, it really took that long to decide to have a four-team playoff? How long has the NCAA turned down millions of dollars to be made from a playoff system?

Now the flood waters are being released and everyone wants to get a piece of the pie. Never mind nobody was willing to cut the first slice. And you can bet the NCAA will be the first ones with their hands out.

Big 10 Commissioner Jim Delany is against semifinal games or the championship game being played on campus.

But I'm betting Delany has some type of ulterior motive, more than likely wanting to keep the Big Ten's longstanding ties to the Rose Bowl.

I do understand his thinking. But I also believe the No. 1 team deserves some type of advantage over the No. 4 team.
