Parish students vie for spelling bee title
The Franklin Parish Spelling Bee was held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
Each junior high and elementary school in the parish sent three representatives to the parish bee. To be eligible for the parish bee, the student had to have won his/her homeroom spelling bee and place first, second or third in the school-wide spelling bee. Students in grades four through eight were eligible to participate and were given a list of words to study.
