As lawmakers surge into the second half of the legislative session there are no shortages of issues that concern many health care administrators statewide. The fear of additional impending budget slashing has health care facilities in every corner of the state bracing for the worst, but hoping for the best.

The Franklin Medical Center Board of Commissioners took measures earlier this year to protect the hospital in the case of unforeseen changes or cuts that may come about, according to FMC administrator Blake Kramer.
