Franklin Academy senior Dalton Oliver fired a low round of 80 on Monday to win overall medalist honors at the regional MAIS South State Tournament at Black Bear Country Club in Delhi.

The Cougars shot 374 as a team, giving them a third place finish in the tournament while qualifying them for the MAIS State Tournament at Okatoma Golf Club in Collins, Mississippi next week.

"They played really well on a tough course," FA coach John Lee said. "Dalton did really good out there. Shooting 80 on that course is a good score."

Claiborne placed first overall with a score of 354 and Prentiss Christian came in second, posting a score of 363.

Other FA scores: Kalin Howington (90), Chris Hassell (94), Kody Beavers (110) and Walker Magee (112).
