Parish voters renew sales tax
A half-cent sales tax renewal was passed handedly at the polls Saturday, assuring the parish's largest law enforcement agency funding for the next five years.
The money generated by the tax helps pay for costs and expenses of operating the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office, including the operations of the Franklin Parish Detention Center.
