Lady Patriots outlast West Ouachita, 1-0
Now in the final two weeks of the regular season, the Franklin Parish Lady Patriots have proved they hold claim to one attribute that could be more crucial to any other in their arsenal – the ability to win the close one.
A blooper off the bat of Franklin Parish's Hannah Beach plated Jacie Turner to give the Lady Patriots the 1-0, extra-inning victory over district powerhouse West Ouachita at Davis Park on Saturday.
The Lady Patriots (12-12, 4-2 in 2-4A) are currently tied with the Lady Chiefs for the second place district spot behind Neville (19-4, 5-0).
The Franklin Parish victory came just one day after West Ouachita (12-11, 4-2) shutout West Monroe, 4-0, in Cadeville on Friday.
