Cougars flog Claiborne, 11-1
Third-ranked Franklin Academy took over first place in District 7A with an 11-1 win over Claiborne Academy last week.
Cougar pitcher Brady Moroni, who carries a 0.00 earned run average, struck out 12 of the five batters he faced.
Franklin Academy scored a run in the first frame as Kurt McGuffie singled, Michael Moroni walked and Taylor Gilley singled, driving in the run.
