Gov. Bobby Jindal presented a plan on Monday that would overhaul the state's public education system.

Education, along with state employee pensions, were expected to be hot topics as the 2012 Legislative Session convened on Monday in Baton Rouge. Jindal wasted no time addressing the former in his opening remarks to the House and Senate.
