The Winnsboro-Franklin Parish Chamber of Commerce held its 63rd annual installation banquet last Tuesday at River of Life.

Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne was on hand to entertain those in attendance with his animated storytelling of Louisiana's yesteryear titled, "Why Louisiana Ain't Mississippi." The presentation, narrated in a thick Cajun accent by Dardenne, gave a colorful look at the state's culture, history, music and politics.
