Patriots win all three games at Mathew Johnston Memorial Liles render Gators hitless in FP win

After sweeping the Mathew Johnston Memorial Tournament last weekend, the Franklin Parish Patriots appear to be finally turning the corner.
The Patriots (4-8) reeled off three straight victories in Winnsboro over the weekend, including a sensational 1-0 victory over Delhi Charter School on Saturday – a game in which Franklin Parish pitcher Mason Liles commanded a complete game no-hitter.
The senior right-hander's curveball was working magic against the Gators, as a ball never made it out of the Patriot infield.
"Mason (Liles) was unhittable out there," Franklin Parish coach Lynn Middleton said. "He had his curveball working and he was throwing gas in the high eighties. I said it before, when Mason is on the mound, he is always going to give us a chance to win."
Liles struck out 14 and walked only two batters in the no-hit effort.
