VA to commemorate Armed Forces Day

If you're looking for a way to say thank you to a friend or loved one that served in the U.S. Armed Forces, the Franklin Parish Department of Veteran Affairs wants to give your that opportunity.

From now until April 1, the VA office at the Franklin Parish Court House is offering a memorial brick for anyone who served in any branch of the Armed Forces from Franklin Parish or with ties to the area.

The new bricks will be displayed and recognized at the Veterans Memorial Wall at Davis Park during a ceremony to commemorate Armed Forces Day on May 19. Bricks are $100 and all proceeds go toward the upkeep of the park.
