Legendary coach to speak at FCCS

There are few people in the sports world that are able to transcend beyond the field or court to truly inspire people the way Dale Brown has.

For some, Brown will always be remembered for coaching the LSU Tigers to two Final Four appearances in the late 1980s. The South Dakota native coached legendary LSU hoops players such as Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Jackson, Don Redden, Ricky Blanton and countless more greats on his way to accumulating 448 career wins and four SEC titles during his time in Baton Rouge.

But despite his lengthy list of accomplishments on the court, Brown has become one of the most heralded motivational speakers and activist since his retirement from coaching in 1997. Brown is sought after for speaking engagements all over the country for various causes and events.

Brown wrote the book, "Dale Brown's Memoirs From LSU Basketball", and was recently the topic of the 2011 critically acclaimed documentary, Man in the Glass: The Dale Brown Story.

Brown will be the guest speaker at the Family Community Christian School academic and athletic banquet on May 4, and event organizers couldn't be more excited.
