Jury balks on roadside sales ban
The Franklin Parish Police Jury met last week and took a step forward to possibly enforcing laws against the roadside sales of animals in the parish. But the move comes without the total support of the parish's governing body.
The jury voted to have the parish included in an upcoming proposed bill which would give the jury the authority to govern the roadside sales of animals if they choose to do so.
In order to adopt an ordinance to enforce such restrictions, the state law has to be amended to include Franklin Parish.
