Ellington working for insurance commissioner
Former state lawmaker Noble Ellington has been tabbed as the No. 2 official at the state Department of Insurance.
Ellington tells The Franklin Sun he began his duties as chief deputy to Commissioner of Insurance Jim Donelon earlier this month.
Ellington would become interim commissioner in the event anything happened to Donelon and will fill in for the commissioner when he is away from Baton Rouge.
