Jury considers roadside sales ban
The Franklin Parish Police Jury has called a special meeting to vote on approval of an ordinance that would prohibit the sale of roadside animals in the parish.
The meeting, which is set for Feb. 22, comes after the People Against Animal Cruelty (PAAC) of North Louisiana presented the ordinance to the jury at the monthly meeting last week. Also in attendance were more than a dozen members from the Franklin chapter of the Humane Society of Louisiana.
