FMC offers discounts for past due bills
The Franklin Medical Center is offering patients with long-time account balances a chance to put their tax refunds to work.
For the month of February and running through April 1, any patient with a bill over 120 days old has the opportunity to receive a 50-percent discount on their bill by paying off half of their current debt. FMC's Board of Commissioners voted at its last meeting to allow any patients meeting these criteria to meet their obligations to the hospital by paying half of what they currently owe on their account. Accounts currently in collections are not eligible for the board's offer.
