Robertson named HS Heisman finalist
A Briarfield Academy student with Franklin Parish ties has been selected as a finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman.
Lane Robertson of Baskin recently attended the High School Heisman finalist's banquet in New Orleans to receive the prestigious award and to meet the other finalists.
Each high school across the state can nominate as many students as they wish, and of these recommendations, one male and one female from each school are chosen. From this field, ten male and ten female students are selected as state finalist for the award. Robertson was one of those finalists.
