The Franklin Academy Cougars solidified a spot in the postseason after disposing of Riverfield Academy, 61-45, last Thursday in Rayville.

Franklin Academy coach Paul Work credited the Cougars composure and focus as the deciding factor in what was a very physical contest.

"(Riverfield) came at us strong and tried to get us out of our normal game plan," Work said. "They were football players playing basketball and it just got physical out there. I have to credit my team for keeping their head and playing their game."
