GOHSEP begins property closings
The Governor's Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness, in conjunction with the Franklin Parish Police Jury, closed on the first of nearly 30 flood-prone properties this week.
These property purchases were made by the parish through a $4.3 million grant obtained by the local homeland security department in efforts to prevent the reoccurring flood damages that have plagued each of the properties numerous times.
