The Franklin Parish Patriots made their road to the postseason much more manageable after winning back-to-back district contests last week.

Franklin Parish (14-11, 3-2 in 2-4A) took care of Bastrop on Tuesday, 77-64, before completely smothering West Ouachita, 66-39, on Friday to give the Patriots solid momentum going into the final three games of the regular season.

"We are getting into a solid rhythm as a team," FP coach Blake Wheeler said. "Team confidence is really high right now and it's showing through the teams play on the court."

With a formula of physical defense and stingy offense the Patriots frustrated Bastrop (11-8, 3-2) for the entire contest, limiting the Rams' opportunities for easy scores.

FP's Yoxaiver Grant continued to make a case for an all-district spot, as the forward tuned up Bastrop for 28 points and 15 rebounds.
