Two Patriots named to all-state team

It's been nearly two months since their football season ended, but the awards keep coming for the Franklin Parish Patriots.

Running back Noble Johnson and offensive guard Dekendrick Johnson were both voted to the Louisiana Football Coaches Association all-star team over the weekend.

It's yet another postseason honor for Noble Johnson, who rushed for 1,686 rushing yards and 22 TDs this season. The bruising ball carrier – who is verbally committed to play for Grambling – was also named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association 4A all-state team and was voted co-offensive MVP of district 2-4A.

Dekendrick Johnson, a 6-2, 315-pound-junior, was also tabbed to the all-district team this year.
