Campbell retains jury post
The Franklin Parish Police Jury named Ricky Campbell parish president for the 2012 year at Thursday night's monthly meeting. Campbell, elected juryman for District 1, has held the position for the last six years.
Representatives from the Ouachita Parish School Board were in attendance to ask for the jury's support on a grant being offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana which is targeted to fight obesity in Louisiana.
The "Challenge for a Healthier Louisiana" program is offering potential grant applicants technical assistance workshops, along with other networking tools.
