Dumas clarifies position on housing

First let me state that I am one of the biggest advocates for affordable housing for the people of Winnsboro. My training with FmHA and Rural Development has given me an understanding of what affordable home ownership means. I am familiar with the Pros and Cons of the housing business.
The pitch given by the housing developers today sound good and are appealing to those who are interested in purchasing an affordable home.
Some developers and rural housing landlords are requiring hard working families to pay 500 plus dollars monthly for a house they are renting; not leasing with the option to buy.
