Bring back the black and gold
After a hiatus of the better part of a decade, the black and gold is coming back to Franklin Parish.
Semi-Pro football is moving back Winnsboro in 2012, but the look of the team will be different from the past. Instead, it will resemble, well, the past.
The Louisiana Wildcats (formally the Louisiana Patriots) plan to take the field at the end of the month and give Franklin Parish a shot of nostalgia.
"We're bringing back the black and gold," Wildcats runningback Bobby Rose said. "We are trying to get some support. The first season we had some and people came out, but it wasn't consistent. We're trying to bring back the magic this year."
