Stress tests in FMC's future

For many people that experience chest pains, a cardiac diagnostic test is an unfortunate, but important necessity. It is Franklin Medical Center's hope that in the near future this test will be available to its patients.

The cardiac diagnostic test, commonly referred to as a "stress test," is used in medicine and cardiology to measure the heart's ability to respond to external stress in a controlled clinical environment. This test can be used to diagnose ischemic heart disease and to determine patient prognosis after a heart attack.

While the test is not yet available at FMC, the process has already begun in taking steps to add this tool to the hospital's services.
