Subdivision plans snarled in zoning flap

The city council was expected to vote on an ordinance Monday that would rezone certain sections of Winnsboro, but due to a misunderstanding between the zoning commission and council the vote had to be postponed.

David Strange of New Horizon Development addressed the issue of rezoning at the monthly meeting, and expected to get a decision by the council which would be the last hurdle before construction could begin the company's proposed Northbrook Subdivision.

Strange, who has been requesting the zoning change since July, it appears will have to wait until the first of the year to get an answer.
