The best gift this Christmas

Last Thursday night, I had a dream come true. I attended the Lincoln Parish Police Jury Christmas party. I thought I had died and gone to heaven when they announced the entertainment portion of the evening
would be a Christmas karaoke contest.
I knew immediately, I had to sign up!
To make a long story short, I ended up taking home the big prize by performing to the song…you guessed it, "Rockin' Around the Christmas
Tree."
If you read my last column, you will understand why this song was so appropriate. As I was on my way home, still reveling in my victory, I began to wonder… "whatever happened to good old fashioned caroling?"
