City Council discusses rezoning ordinance
Mayor Jackie Johnson called a special city council meeting on Dec. 2 to
discuss the possibility of introducing an ordinance to amend specified
zoning changes.
The meeting was regarding a request made by New Horizon Development
partner David Strange to the zoning commission in late November.
The zoning commission approved and recommended to the city council the
extension of an existing R3 Zone on Eighth Street east to Robinson Road,
south to Riser Road, west to the concrete drainage ditch and finally
north to the already existing R3 Zone.
