Wellspring, community offer holiday help/hope

Share the Spirit 2011 was a great success this year, thanks to The Wellspring and many community sponsors.

The yearly event features many holiday festivities including the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree and performances by local youth. A chili-cookoff was a delicious bonus to this year's events, with
members of the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office taking top honors.

Other activities including face-painting for children, performances by Miss Tommie's School of Dance, the Diamonds, Kidzlife Children's Choir and a skills presentation by karate students from Bob Allen Dojo.

Soloists Ashton McKinley and Jessie Waller performed musical numbers for the audience.
