Christmas parades herald holiday season
A glittering entrance to the Christmas season, the annual nighttime parade draws hundreds to the downtown area to see the grand display of festooned floats, marching bands, ATVs, antique cars and trucks and a whole host of costumed characters.
The parade will culminate a week-long series of yuletide events in Winnsboro celebrating the Christmas season. The parade will start at 7 p.m.
"We have some 15 floats from groups across the parish entered in this year's parade, and that will make for a great event," said Chamber parade committee co-chairman Paul Price Jr. "We're still taking other late entries as well and expect to have as big a parade as we've ever had."
