Norwood returns from Cape Town mission
Winnsboro native Alfonso Norwood recently returned from a two-week missionary trip to Cape Town, South Africa.
Traveling with 13 fellow members of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Ecorse, Mich., Norwood embarked on a journey to not only share the word of Jesus, but to also meet the needs of underprivileged Capetonians.
After arriving in Cape town, "Michigan Extreme Response" team traveled to the neighboring Masiphumele Township to begin clean-up work and completion homes for abused and orphaned children.
