Patriots stay alive in playoffs

BATON ROUGE- Friday night was a giant step forward for the Franklin Parish football program, with the Patriots battling back from 21 down against St. Michael to a 56-35 victory.

"Last year's team was just satisfied with being in the playoffs and did not intend on going any further. This year's team is more mature and more intent on taking this season to its limits," said FPHS head football coach Barry Sebren.

Franklin Parish lost the 2010 playoffs in a 21-0 defeat to the Parkway Panthers of Shreveport.
