FPHS travels to Baton Rouge for playoffs

Franklin Parish led the Bastrop Rams 24-22 with seconds left only to see the hopes of a first-round home playoff game slip away in a 30-24 loss.

Xavier Robinson dragged three defenders into the end zone on a 22-yard pass and broke the plane with 16 seconds left to cap the improbable comeback for the Rams.

"I am so proud of our football team and dissapointed for them at the same time. We played four quarters against an upper tier 4A program and should have secured a victory," said FPHS coach Barry Sebren.
