FMC employeesto receive $300 surplus bonus

Don't call it a Thanksgiving bonus, but employees at Franklin Medical Center will be celebrating the holidays with an extra $300 in their paychecks.

The money will come as a result of a revenue surplus the hospital ran this fiscal year and a promise the board of commissioners made to pass extra money along to workers when they have a chance to do so.

The decision to give the money to employees, excluding administrative workers, was made by the board during executive session at the regular meeting on Thursday.
