Heifers find new homes in Franklin
Last week bred heifers were branded and assigned to new homes in Franklin Parish through a service project of Franklin Parish Self-Help the Local ARM of a group known as Heifers Project International.
The Franklin Parish organization is in its 19th year of funding. The privately funded program provides five bred heifers and the use of a bull to families interested in breaking into the cattle industry.
