FA Cougars win game number ten
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Franklin Academy won its 10th game in the last 12 outings, but more importantly stayed in the hunt for a playoff spot as the Cougars defeated Macon Central Academy 24-12 at Homecoming Friday.

The Cougars travel to play Veritas School in Jackson, Miss., Friday where a win, coupled with a Clinton Christian Academy win, will secure the number 2 seed and a home field opening playoff game for the Cougars.

"Our offensive linemen and tight ends stepped up and really played a great game this week," said Franklin head coach Doyle Hassell. "Walker Magee, Cole Dotson, Kade Armstrong and Kalin Howington did an excellent job on opening some holes Friday night. Our running backs just need to do a better job of holding on to the football."
