Hunters' safety to be held in Tensas

A free Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries hunters' safety course will be held in Tensas Parish next week.

The course will be taught from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, 25 and 27 at the Buckhorn Wildlife Management Area, 3217 La. Highway 128, in St Joseph.

There is no registration required, but all three classes must be attended for hunter certification. The first 25 students will be admitted. Instructors are Robert Pearson, Cedric Morales and Jim Funderburg.
