Parish loses one of its own
by Tom Bonnette - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Farmer and entrepreneur Larry Hitt is being remembered by those who knew him best as a person with a keen business sense and a big heart.

Hitt, of Extension, died last Wednesday at the age of 72 when the tractor he was driving on his property in southern Franklin Parish overturned into a gully used as a trash dump, according to the Franklin Parish's Sheriff's Office.

He was laid to rest at Grayson Cemetery on Saturday, following a funeral at First United Pentecostal Church in Winnsboro.
