Story Archives: 'Prowlers' to take Prairie

'Prowlers' to take Prairie
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Winnsboro's historic downtown Prairie Street will be busy with a host of costumed youngsters Monday, Oct. 31, when Winnsboro Main Street, Inc., hosts the annual Prairie Street Prowl from 4 to 6 p.m.

The event is open to children ages 12 and under. Prairie Street will be closed to traffic shortly after 2 p.m. that day.

Prairie Street Prowl is designed not only as a safe alternative to traditional Halloween trick-or-treating, but also to provide an opportunity for Franklin Parish residents to get to know what the downtown Winnsboro area has to offer.
