FA Cougars plan homecoming Friday

Franklin Academy found itself in a hole early and was unable to claw its way out against a team most feel will win the eight-man championship this season, falling to Tensas Academy 38-14.

"The night started out badly when our center snapped the ball over the quarterback's head on the first play from scrimmage for a 20-yard loss," said Franklin coach Doyle Hassell.

"On the first play of our next possession, the running back mishandled the handoff for a 10-yard loss, putting us in another hole.

The big play of the game was the interception for a TD at the end of the first half when we were driving to tie the score.

It was the kind of game I expected out of Tensas and we didn't play up to our capabilities this game."
