Early voting turnout strong

Early voting turnout has been strong for the Oct. 22 elections, according to the Franklin Parish Registrar of Voters Office.

"It's been pretty brisk. Right now, we have 643 that have voted. That's very good this early on," Registrar of Voters Geneva Cupp said Tuesday morning.

Early voting is taking place this week, through Saturday, from 8:30 to 6 p.m. at the Registrar of Voters Office in the Franklin Parish Courthouse, 6550 Main St., Winnsboro.
