Tigers skin Gators, 42-0

The Delhi Charter School Gators (2-3) begin district 3-1A in earnest this week as they travel to Oak Grove (2-3) for a 7 p.m. contest against the Tigers.

Delhi Charter is coming off a 42-0 loss to the Ouachita Christian School Eagles, the top-ranked team in Class 1A right now.

Delhi Charter came out with a gameplan of running the ball and keeping the vaunted OCS offense off of the field. It worked for a while as OCS had just a 6-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

"Our gameplan worked to perfection but it only lasted for a quarter," DCS head coach Bret Raley said. "They punched in another one in the second quarter, then we had chance to run a fumble back and there was an inadvertent whistle. Sometimes those things happen."
