Two arrested for television thefts

Two men who have been stealing televisions from several Wal-Mart stores in North Louisiana were arrested in Winnsboro on Tuesday, according to police.

Lester W. Jackson, 39, 1207 Georgia St., Monroe, was charged with theft, flight from an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia in the incident. Rickey B. Candley, 43, was charged with theft.

Winnsboro Police Chief Lester Thomas Jr. said officers responded to a call at Wal-Mart where two men were seen leaving the store with three 40-inch flat-screen televisions.
