Franklin Sun to mark 155 years
The Franklin Sun will celebrate its 155th birthday next week with a reception at the Sun office on Wednesday.
Family, friends and the community are welcome to join the staff for light refreshments on Oct. 5, from 2-4 p.m.
The Sun office is located in historic downtown Winnsboro and operates with a staff of five.
Purchased in October of 1974 by the late Sam Hanna Sr., the private business is now owned and operated by the Hanna family along with sister papers, The Concordia Sentinel and The Ouachita Citizen. |
